Season two of the Annie Award-winning intergalactic animated comedy series “Wander Over Yonder,” starring Jack McBrayer, debuts MONDAY, AUGUST 3 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD. Notable guest stars for season two include Jon Hamm (“Mad Men”), singer-songwriter “Weird Al” Yankovic, Academy Award-nominee June Squibb (“Nebraska”), Sabrina Carpenter (“Girl Meets World”), Rob Riggle (“Modern Family”), Ken Marino (“Childrens Hospital”), Andy Daly (“Modern Family”), Calum Worthy (“Austin & Ally”) and Noel Wells (“Saturday Night Live”).
Created and executive-produced by Emmy Award-winner Craig McCracken (“The Powerpuff Girls”), “Wander Over Yonder” follows eternally optimistic do-gooder Wander and his quick-tempered loyal steed, Sylvia, as they travel through the cosmos, happening upon one freewheeling adventure after another.
The second season introduces new villain, Lord Dominator, a formidable rival for Wander and Sylvia, who threatens Lord Hater’s existence as the Greatest in the Galaxy. In the special half-hour season premiere episode, “The Greater Hater,” Lord Dominator’s arrival proves a true threat to the galaxy, turning Wander’s worldview upside down. The episode is the first of a four-part, good-versus-evil-themed story arc, which includes a musical episode written by Annie Award-nominated composer Andy Bean (“The Two Man Gentlemen Band”).
In advance of the new season are 11 one-minute “Wander Over Yonder” cartoon shorts debuting on MONDAY, JULY 20 on Disney XD, WATCH Disney XD and Disney XD’s YouTube Channel. New shorts will roll out daily Monday through Friday leading up to the season two premiere. In the shorts, Lord Hater finally captures Wander and interrupts all broadcasts across the galaxy in an effort to destroy him live on air, but is comically thwarted each time.
“Wander Over Yonder” stars Jack McBrayer (“30 Rock”) as Wander, April Winchell (“Mickey Mouse Clubhouse”) as Sylvia, Tom Kenny (“SpongeBob SquarePants”) as Commander Peepers and Keith Ferguson (“Gravity Falls”) as Lord Hater.
